Captive Russian occupants said that the attack on Ukraine was planned a year ago, and after invasion the main goal was to put down the resistance of the civilians. The video of press conference was releasd on March 2 on ’24 channel’.
Occupants said that they are police officers. In February they were sent to the trainings in Belarus.
According to lieutenant colonel in the position of Chief Commissioner of the internal affairs department. Dmytry Astahov, they “didn’t believe till the end” that they will enter Ukraine’s territory.
Occupants claim that authorities started giving orders to carry out a “special operation” after they had arrived in Ukraine.
Astahov also added that Russian media had always been telling about “Fascist regime” in Ukraine, that “nationalists have seized power” and “we need to free people from them”.
He emphasized that he was embarrassed and addressed Russian militaries.
“If I were in such situation when somebody invaded my territory, I would react the same as these people. And I would be right. I seem to be a punisher here. It is a genocide. This nation is being slaughtered. Ukrainian nation. And we as well, because we invaded their territory. Russia won’t win here. So, stop now, when there is still a chance, go back home”, he said.
Inspector of the information and documentation team of OMON from Novokuznetsk, Kamerovsk region Evgeny Spiridonov reported that their purpose was to suppress peaceful protests in case they take Kyiv.
“With the support of Russian armed forces we were supposed to enter Kyiv and help them with the capture. After that we were supposed to suppress any illegal actions of Ukrainian civilians by any means, even arrests, physical force and shooting”, said the soldier.
He added that every time he went to sleep, he prayed so that missile didn’t hit them at night.
According to staff sergeant of Novokuznetsk OMON police Evgeny Plotnikov, Russia has been preparing to attack since last year.
“As we realized later, the preparation to the war with Ukraine began long ago, to be specific in summer 2021. All subdivisions of Russia’s National Guard, OMON, SWAT and Russian Armed Forces were taken to the training as well as forces of Chechnya and Dagestan”, he told.
When the occupants were asked whether they expect to return to Russia led by current authorities, they answered that they doubted it, but didn’t lose their hope.

“Russian authorities don’t have any tactics, we are just trying to survive here… Those who are in Russia, write reports, don’t come here, stay with your families. You all will fall here”, said Russian soldier.
SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) remarked that one more Russian soldier realized that most invaders will pay with their lives for attacking Ukraine.
“He was taken captive near Zhytomyr, but had the insight only after his “soldier mates” were eliminated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine”, said in a statement.
