Cherkasy region experienced one of the largest attacks on April 28. In total, air defense managed to destroy 15 drones, but there were also hits.

This was reported by the head of the Cherkasy regional military administration Ihor Taburets.

According to Taburets, critical infrastructure was under the gun.

As a result of the shelling, a gas utility facility was damaged.

“Currently, some consumers in Cherkasy and nearby villages are without gas supply. All necessary services are working to eliminate the consequences as soon as possible,” he added.

At about 08:30, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned about the movement of unmanned aerial vehicles in the direction of Zolotonosha and Smila. After 11 am, it became known about the drone over Cherkasy. At the same time, local media reported that at least a dozen drones attacked the city.

As of 1:15 p.m., no injuries were reported from the attack. Later, Cherkasy Mayor Anatoliy Bondarenko reported that the Russians had damaged an infrastructure facility in the city and urged residents to immediately turn off all gas appliances and not use gas in private homes.
