Church destroyed in Kryvyi Rih due to Russian strike, it cannot be restored

During the strike on Kryvyi Rih on February 22, the Russian army destroyed the Church of the First Martyr and Archdeacon Stephen of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The rector of the church, Archpriest Dominian, stated that the building cannot be restored.

“The damage is major, it cannot be restored. The relics must be taken out, the building is simply destroyed… I think it is unrealistic to estimate the scale of the disaster in terms of money,” he said.

The attack took place late in the evening, so there were no believers in the church. But if the attack had occurred during the service, there would have been a large number of victims, Archpriest Dominian noted.
