Law enforcement agencies of the Kherson region record the consequences of regular shelling by the Russian military, which caused the death and injury of civilians. Under the leadership of the prosecutor’s office of the Kherson region, criminal proceedings were opened for violations of the laws and customs of war (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). This is reported by the General Prosecutor’s Office.
According to preliminary data, on October 9, 2024, Russian troops used drones, FPV drones and artillery to attack settlements in the Kherson region. As a result of these actions, a 61-year-old resident of Antonivka died, on whom explosives were dropped from a drone. Nine more people were injured, including one woman and five men in Kherson and the villages of Lviv and Kindiyka.
Two medical workers were injured as a result of shelling of the geriatric center in Stepanivka. Residential buildings, administrative buildings and infrastructure facilities were damaged. Prosecutors and law enforcement continue to collect evidence of war crimes for further investigations.
Besides, in Kindiyka, a suburb of Kherson, Russian troops dropped explosives on a 58-year-old woman.

The victim was taken to the hospital with an explosive injury, shrapnel wounds to the legs and arms.
