As a result of a missile strike carried out by Russian troops on Poltava region, 9 settlements in Myrhorod district were left without gas supply. The incident occurred on February 11, 2025, destroying the gas infrastructure in the region.
The Poltava regional military administration reported that, fortunately, no hits on civilian infrastructure were recorded, and residents of the affected areas received timely warnings and are safe.
Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko emphasized that such attacks indicate the need to strengthen measures to protect the country’s energy infrastructure. According to him, the energy sector continues to remain under the sights of the Russians, which poses a great threat to the stable supply of energy to settlements.
Repair teams are already working to restore gas supply, but the exact completion date has not yet been announced. Residents of affected settlements are advised to follow official reports and follow the instructions of local authorities.
We remind you that the Russian army raised strategic aircraft into the sky. An air alert was declared throughout the country due to the threat of the use of cruise missiles. Because of this, Ukrenergo announced the introduction of emergency power outages in all regions.
