What they say about the consequences in Greenpeace

At least 32 gas stations, warehouses and oil refineries were flooded due to Russia’s destruction of the Kakhovskaya HPP. – reported in the organization.

Greenpeace also said that they conducted the research on the basis of satellite data. It showed that oil refineries, gas stations, thermal power plants and various warehouses were flooded – a total of 32 objects.

The International Non-Governmental Environmental Protection Organization explained that even a small amount of chemicals is enough to pollute soil and water bodies. This will make it difficult for people to access clean water.

Particularly strong pollution can cause flooding of industrial zones, from where chemicals will be washed downstream, polluting the Black Sea and coastal areas, the organization explained.

According to their data, the consequences for aquatic organisms in the Kakhovsky Reservoir and the Dnipro will be enormous. It will also negatively affect the habitat of fish, birds, amphibians and animals in general and pollute their habitat.
