Consequences of the Russian airstrike on Sumy: damaged houses and civilian infrastructure

On the afternoon of November 26, Russian troops launched an airstrike on a residential area in the city of Sumy.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service.

As noted, residential buildings, private cars, and civilian infrastructure were damaged as a result of the shelling.

Emergency responders localized the sources of the fire. The entire area was surveyed.

In addition to rescuers, pyrotechnicians and dog handlers from the State Emergency Service worked at the scene.

As a reminder, it was previously reported that the Russian military shelled a service station in the city of Sumy on the afternoon of November 26.

Two people died as a result of the strike on Sumy. It is likely that there is another person under the rubble. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyі reported that, previously, it was shelling from a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS).
