Ukrainian law enforcement officers have confirmed the presence of at least nine torture chambers in the de-occupied territories of the Kherson region.

Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin announced this, according to him, the bodies of more than 400 civilians who were killed were also found.

“According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, the presence of nine torture chambers in the liberated territory of the Kherson region has been confirmed. The bodies of 432 civilians who were killed were also discovered,” said the Prosecutor General.

Kostin added that the mine threat remains high, the occupiers mined many territories and buildings in the region.

Currently, 12 joint prosecutorial and investigative groups are working in the territory of Kherson region, they are investigating crimes of the Russian Federation.

At the beginning of November, the Russian Federation announced the complete withdrawal of its occupation troops from Kherson and the right-bank part of the region. The Russian side was forced to take such a step in order to preserve the remnants of its group against the background of the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces in this direction.

On November 11, the Ukrainian military entered Kherson. In total, almost 200 settlements were liberated on the right bank of the Dnieper.

Ukrainian ombudsman Dmytro Lubynets said that in Kherson law enforcement officers discovered two torture chambers where the Russians held dozens of people. According to him, he had not seen such scale of torture.

On November 21, the Prosecutor General’s Office announced that four more torture chambers had been found in Kherson.

In recent months, significant progress has been observed in the issue of establishing a tribunal against the top military and political leadership of Russia. Four months ago, Ukraine was supported in this only by its closest neighbors, and today at the international level they are already discussing ways to create such a tribunal.

All countries are already falsifying the idea of creating such an international court process. Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin announced this.

“The crime of aggression must be punished at the international level,” he said.

Evidence for the tribunal is collected in settlements de-occupied from the Russians. Currently, nine death camps are known in the de-occupied part of the Kherson region, and 432 civilian victims have been identified.

As of now, the courts are considering 29 cases related to war crimes committed by Russians in the Kyiv region. There are already two sentences, soon there will be two more.
