As a result of the Russian missile strike in Sumy, cultural institutions and monuments of cultural heritage were damaged.
This was reported by the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications.
“On Palm Sunday, the day of life and renewal, the Russian Federation launched a missile strike on the center of Sumy and claimed the lives of civilians,” the report said.
According to the agency, the missile strike damaged cultural heritage sites and cultural institutions, including the Sumy Regional Art Museum named after Onatsky, the Regional Museum of Local Lore, the Regional Academic Theater for Children and Youth, the Shchepkin National Academic Theater of Drama and Musical Comedy, the Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Culture and Arts, the Regional Philharmonic, the Regional Library for Children, and the workshop of the regional organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
