Damaged high-rise buildings and a victim in Kyiv, explosions in the regions: the consequences of the night attack

On the night of July 13, the Russian Armed Forces launched another massive combined attack on the cities of Ukraine using cruise missiles and kamikaze drones that night. Explosions rang out in the Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Khmelnytskyi and Kropyvnytskyi. As a result of the attack there is destruction, wounded and killed.

Signals about the threat of air attacks began to sound en masse in various areas shortly after midnight. The command of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces warned about the launch of kamikaze drones from various directions, as well as the Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea.

Later, data began to appear about the operation of air defense in a number of regions, where the sounds of explosions were also reported.

Attack on Kyiv

As a result of the night attack of kamikaze drones on the capital, four people were injured. Also, the chairman of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klychko, said that in the Podilsky district, during the extinguishing of a fire in an apartment building, the body of a deceased person was found.

The Kyiv City Military Administration was informed that during the night, as a result of an enemy attack, cases of falling debris were recorded in Darnytskyi, Solomyanskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Obolonskyi and Podilskyi districts of the city.

Later, the chairman added that the facade of a residential building was destroyed due to falling debris in the Darnytskyi district. There was also an explosion on the balcony of an apartment building in the Shevchenkivskyi district.

According to the State Emergency Service, rescuers at one of the addresses extinguished a fire on the balcony of a 5-story, 16-story residential building. As a result of the accident, 2 people were injured (poisoning by combustion products).

At another address in a 25-story residential building, the facade of the building was damaged on the 25th floor without further combustion. Before the arrival of the rescuers, 2 victims with shrapnel wounds were found on the spot, they were hospitalized in a medical facility.

At another address, a fire broke out in a 1-story building that spread to the roof on a total area of ​​20 square meters. m. Firefighters promptly extinguished the fire. In addition, they eliminated the flash of debris on the green zone of the adjacent territory.

Explosions in Khmelnytskyi and other cities

During the air alert in the Khmelnytskyi regional military administration, it was noted that explosions were heard in the Khmelnytskyi region. Explosions were also reported in Kropyvnytskyi, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia. Nothing is known about their causes and consequences.

The work of air defense forces

The Kyiv City Military Administration was informed that kamikaze drones were entering the capital from different directions. About a dozen enemy targets were detected and destroyed by air defense forces and means in the airspace of Kyiv.

The reaction of the world community to the night attack

The EU ambassador to Ukraine, Matti Maasikas, wrote: “Loud explosions rang out in Kyiv. Apparently, the aggressor is celebrating the NATO summit. Everything is in vain.”

British Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine Melinda Simmons said that she woke up from the air raid on Kyiv and heard a loud bang nearby.
