Damaged houses, cars, critical facilities: what are the consequences of the war in the Cherkasy region

In the Cherkasy region in 2024, almost 150 houses where people live were damaged. In addition, cars and outbuildings were damaged.

This was stated by the head of the Cherkasy regional military administration Ihor Taburets: “When we talk about the consequences, it is not necessarily a hit: it is debris, a blast wave. Damage is calculated from the total damage. In 2024, 148 residential buildings were damaged in the region, including 14 high-rise buildings. Some critical infrastructure facilities, cars, outbuildings were also damaged,” the head of the regional military administration said.

In addition, the Russians targeted energy infrastructure facilities, educational institutions, medical facilities, and social institutions.

Igor Taburets reported that last year nine people were injured, in 2025 – two people.

“This year, 45 houses were also damaged, four of them high-rise buildings,” added the head of the regional military administration.
