Damaged houses, medical and educational institutions: consequences of shelling in Kherson region

On December 8, the Russians attacked the deoccupied settlements of Kherson and Beryslav districts with artillery, mortars, and UAVs of various types.

According to the Kherson region police, three people were killed and five were injured.

As a result of the shelling, 18 objects were damaged: 3 apartment buildings and 8 private houses, a critical infrastructure facility, a hospital, a lyceum, a water tower, two cars, and a gas pipeline.

Artillery fire damaged a private house and a gas pipeline in Zelenivka, a private house in Komyshany.

A car in Chervony Yar and a residential building in Shevchenkivka were damaged by strikes by FPV drones.

The police received information that on December 5, a 56-year-old woman died in the city of Beryslav as a result of an attack by a Russian FPV drone.

A 57-year-old resident of Belozerka sought medical help. On December 5, she was injured when a drone hit a post office. The woman was diagnosed with a mine-explosive injury and a concussion.

A 60-year-old resident of Kachkarivka also needed medical help, near whom a mine exploded on December 7 while he was riding a motorcycle. As a result of the detonation, the man received burns, abrasions, and a fractured toe.

At night, Russian troops shelled the Dniprovsky district of Kherson with artillery. A 45-year-old citizen was injured. He received a mine-explosive injury and concussion. Two private houses were damaged.

In the afternoon, artillery strikes resumed, killing a 45-year-old man. An apartment building and a medical facility were damaged. A 62-year-old employee was injured as a result of the dropping of explosives from a UAV on the territory of a municipal enterprise. The police took the man to a medical facility, where he was diagnosed with a mine-blast injury and shrapnel wounds to his legs.

A private house was damaged as a result of an FPV drone attack.

It became known about the death of an 87-year-old woman who came under Russian shelling in the coastal zone on December 7 and received fatal injuries.

A 78-year-old man was injured in the Central District due to shelling. He suffered blast and craniocerebral injuries, contusion, and shrapnel wounds to his forearm. Two apartment buildings and an educational institution were damaged. An administrative building, which had been repeatedly damaged by previous strikes, was also hit. The occupants dropped an explosive device from a UAV onto a civilian car, which was damaged.

The Korabelny District was also under shelling. Two private houses were damaged.
