Death toll rises in Kyiv region after July 6 attack

The number of victims of the Russian attack that occurred on the night of July 6 has increased in the Kyiv region. A man who was seriously injured during the shelling died in the hospital.

Doctors fought for the victim’s life, but he could not be saved. Thus, the number of deaths from this attack in the Kyiv region has increased to nine. Earlier, the regional authorities reported eight deaths and 48 injuries after a massive strike on the region.

The man was seriously injured during the nighttime Russian shelling of the Kyiv region on July 6. He was hospitalized, doctors provided the necessary assistance and tried to save his life until the last moment.

After his death, the official death toll in the Kyiv region has increased to nine. The regional authorities do not provide other details about the deceased in the report.

After the attack on July 6, 48 people were reported injured, 20 of whom were hospitalized, three of whom were in serious condition.

Among the victims were children, including a 9-month-old baby and a 12-year-old child. Destruction and damage were recorded in several districts of the Kyiv region, including Buchanan, Brovar, Boryspil, and Fastiv districts.

As a result of the night attack on July 6, private homes, businesses, and other civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged in the Kyiv region. Rescuers, medics, police, and municipal services worked on the ground.

After such attacks, some of the work continues even after the emergency phase is over. This includes dismantling damaged structures, fixing the damage, assisting residents, restoring electricity, gas, water, and access to damaged homes.

The attack on July 6 was one of the most difficult for the Kyiv region in recent times. The number of victims increased not only during rescue operations, but also after the hospitalization of seriously injured people.
