Demining Ukraine’s territories could take up to 70 years
Given the extent of pollution, demining regions in Ukraine might last up to 70 years. As a result, considerable international help is required to solve this situation as soon as feasible, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine claimed.
“Considering the magnitude of pollution, demining in Ukraine will take 70 years with the resources currently available. As a result, to tackle this challenge as quickly as possible, foreign partners must provide considerable financial, technological, and organizational help,” the message states.
According to Yuliia Svyridenko, Ukraine’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, it is required to build an equivalent of the defense ‘Rammstein’ to synchronize and coordinate actions to clear the areas.
