The German magazine, together with its partners, published an investigation claiming that Russia and China have significantly expanded military cooperation and defense coordination. According to the publication, internal documents indicate deeper interaction between Moscow and Beijing than previously assumed.

A closed meeting held on December 10, 2024, at the Sevastyanov House in Yekaterinburg is cited as one of the key episodes of the investigation. According to published information, the event was organized by Alexander Vorontsov, head of the First Directorate of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of Russia.

According to journalists, approximately 80 high-ranking representatives of defense departments, military structures, government organizations, and defense industry enterprises from the two countries participated in the talks. Part of the Chinese delegation allegedly arrived in Russia on a government plane. The central theme of the meeting was the development of joint military-technical cooperation and coordination amid the confrontation with Western countries. The publication asserts that the documents reviewed suggest long-term plans to expand defense cooperation between Moscow and Beijing.

Such contacts reflect a new stage in the relationship between the two countries, which extends far beyond the traditional military-technical partnership. According to them, the interaction is becoming increasingly systemic and touches on a wide range of issues related to security and defense policy.

Moscow and Beijing have previously repeatedly stated that their cooperation is not directed against third countries and is built on the principles of strategic partnership. However, the material indicates signs of significantly closer coordination than has been publicly acknowledged, which may attract additional attention from Western countries.
