Destroyed houses and two dead: police show consequences of Russian attacks on Dnipropetrovsk region

On February 23, Russians fired various types of weapons at Nikopol and Synelnykу districts. Two people died as a result of the attacks. Police document the consequences of the strikes

In Synelnykу district, Russians attacked Pokrovska, Mezhivska and Vasylkivska communities with guided aerial bombs, FPV drones and strike drones. A 68-year-old woman was killed, another local resident was injured. A community center, a gymnasium, a car and about 10 private houses were damaged.

Also, during February 23, Russians launched almost a hundred strikes on the territory of Nikopol district – they used strike drones and artillery. At around 19:20, Russian troops directed an FPV drone at a private sector in the coastal part of Nikopol. As a result of the attack, a 35-year-old man who was in the affected area was mortally wounded.

An investigative and operational group went to the scene. Law enforcement officers recorded the consequences of a war crime and collected material evidence as part of criminal proceedings opened under Part 2 of Article 438 (war crimes that caused the death of a person) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

In addition, the Russians did not leave Marhanets alone, as well as the villages of the Myrivska, Chervonogryhorivska, Marhanetska and Pokrovska communities – shelling of the district center continued throughout the day and night. Police officers documented damage to a five-story building, private homes, a social protection department building and an enterprise.

During the night of February 24, Russian troops attacked the Nikopol, Kryvyi Rih and Synelnyk districts. Unfortunately, a 35-year-old man died in Nikopol.
