Destruction of grain storage facilities in the Kherson region causes major losses for farmers

Agriculture in the liberated territories of the Kherson region has suffered severe losses due to the war. More than 250 grain storage facilities have been completely destroyed, and not a single grain elevator remains intact. This poses risks to the security of future harvests and the stability of grain supplies.

According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the scale of the destruction is staggering; farmers are now forced to seek alternative methods for storing and transporting their produce. Consequently, logistics costs have risen significantly. The cost of transporting grain to other regions has increased several-fold due to constant shelling by the Russian Federation, a shortage of specialized equipment, and the refusal of transport providers to operate in high-risk zones.
