Destruction of infrastructure in Zaporizhia and Luhansk regions

As of June 27, 2022, almost 4,000 infrastructure facilities and buildings were destroyed in the Zaporizhia region.

In Zaporizhia oblast, 3,620 infrastructure and housing facilities were partially or completely destroyed. This was announced, at a meeting of the head of the Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Starukh with the heads of structural units and heads of district military administrations.

Today, the most active hostilities are taking place in Pologi district. There is also a constant number of damaged objects in Zaporizhia and Vasylivka districts. The facts of the crimes by the occupying forces must be recorded, and all necessary measures must be taken immediately.

Serhiy Yarmak said that almost all the infrastructure in Huliaipil had been destroyed. Of the 8 schools in the community, 6 were destroyed. There were also “arrivals” at the hospital and at the cultural and sports complex. More than 500 houses were destroyed in the city.

In addition, historical and cultural heritage sites have been destroyed. At this time in Huliaipil in varying degrees of damage are 5 historical and cultural sites – the Income House, the Manor House of the Meleshkovs, the Synagogue, the Church of St. Tikhon Zadonsky, steam mill “Nadiya”.

In the Luhansk region, Russian troops destroyed 14 and damaged 47 cultural institutions and architectural monuments.

The chief of the Luhansk regional military administration Sergey Gaidai reported about it.

“Before the Russian invasion, we had 643 cultural institutions. About 600 of them are now under occupation. The current state of many is not known for sure. However, the complete destruction of 14 objects has been officially recorded. Another 47 have serious injuries. Most of them were destroyed by 70-90 percent, “the statement reads.

As said Gaidai, houses in the “old center” of Severodonetsk burned down.

“It is difficult to look without pain at the burned-out houses on Druzhby Narodiv Street in Severodonetsk with the picturesque stucco that each of us remembers from childhood. How many such places in other settlements – it is difficult to count.

How can you imagine Severodonetsk without a drama theater or a music college? Or Lysychansk – without the Belgian heritage? Although the Russians probably imagine if they purposefully destroy it all, “he said.
