The undeclared and brutal war started against Ukraine by neighbouring federation on the 24th of February 2022 has been going on for 13 days. The enemy ruthlessly destroys civilian population of Ukraine, killing the most vulnerable civilians: the elderly, women, and children. The enemy failed to capture major cities, so the vengeful and vicious enemy drops bombs chaotically and strikes rockets on peaceful cities and towns. The result is killed civilians.
As a result of shooting in a grocery shop queue in Kharkiv the day before, four people were killed and 15 others were injured. This was reported today, March 7, by the Prosecutor General’s Office, Dom notes.
Russian servicemen are reported to have shelled Khazar supermarket at Akademika Voltera street about 12:00 on March 6 with “projectiles of unknown characteristics”.
A criminal proceeding has been instituted based on this fact.
“A pre-trial investigation on the fact of breaching the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (part 2 article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has been launched. Due to aggressor’s actions, 4 people were killed and over 15 people were injured. The exact number of casualties is being established”, the prosecutor’s office informed.
To recap, during a period from March 6 to March 7, the Russian army carried out shelling and aerial bombardment of residential areas and various facilities of Kharkiv city and neighbouring settlements. Such actions caused many destructions and fires, as well as casualties.

In Kharkiv alone, the occupiers attacked 30 schools and almost as many kindergartens

This was reported by ombudsman Liudmyla Denysova on Facebook.
Enemy’s Crimes in Kharkiv
Law enforcers of Dnipro oblast evacuated another 300 people from Kharkiv. Among those rescued was a mother with three children who came under Russian artillery fire during the night. As a result of the shelling, one of her babies was injured by a shockwave. Also, during a conversation with police officers, the woman reported that a neighbour’s child was killed in front of her.
During these days, Russian occupiers attacked nearly 30 high schools, 27 kindergartens, 5 institutions of higher education, and orphanages of Kharkiv.
In addition, in the city of Derhachy of Kharkiv oblast, Russian army shelling struck Derhachy Lyceum no. 3 and residential neighbourhoods in the city. At least three dead and 15 wounded including a 4-year-old child.
Other insidious attacks
Four more wounded civilians were reported of this morning in Donetsk oblast including a 14-year-old boy. It is still impossible to establish the number of dead and wounded in Mariupol and Volnovakha. These cities remain besieged by Russian occupation troops.
The occupiers fired on civilians in the city of Mykolaiv again. This time, the occupiers shelled Balabanovka residential neighbourhood in the southern part of the city: 60 houses were damaged. Most of the bombs were cluster bombs banned by the Geneva Convention of 1949 for use around the world.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyi called on the world to realise the scale of the inhuman actions of the Russian occupiers who continue violating the warfare rules.
Russia spreads fake of “nuclear provocations” in Kharkiv
“The occupiers cut off communications on purpose. They deliberately block food deliveries and water supplies. They cut off electricity. In Mariupol, for the first time in decades, a child died of dehydration for the first time since the Nazi invasion. Hear me, today, dear partners! Died of dehydration. A child. In 2022!” the president said in his speech on March 8.
The president reminded that we have been fighting Russian troops for 13 days now, but the skies over Ukraine are still not closed.
Ukrainian military destroyed Russian ship near Odesa
“Hundreds of Russian cruise missiles, hundreds of occupier’s warplanes, hundreds of helicopters. We destroy them. Russia hasn’t lost as much aircraft in the past 30 years as it has in these 13 days in Ukraine”, Volodymyr Zelenskyi said, calling on the west countries to close the skies and give planes to protect people.

Occupiers shelled residential neighbourhoods again
According to preliminary data, nine people were killed including two children as a result of an airstrike on the residential area of Sumy on March 7. This was reported by the State Service for Emergency Situations.
“The enemy aircraft insidiously struck residential houses located on Romenska and Spartaka streets. Rescuers arrived at 11.09 p.m. on the scene to move the rubble of destroyed buildings and extinguish the fire”, the report said.
Rescuers managed to unblock an injured woman and pass her to paramedics. There were also the bodies of the dead people extracted from under the rubble.
After 11 p.m., on March 7, the occupiers carried out air strikes on Sumy city and neighbouring settlements of Sumy oblast. On the evening of March 7, enemy artillery also struck residential areas of Akhtyrka and thermal power plant, which earlier suffered from aerial bombs.
There are still ongoing battles around Sumy. To date, the occupiers control only the town of Trostianets in Sumy oblast.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine believes that the enemy plans to storm Sumy. This, according to Ukrainian sources, will involve Russian servicemen concentrated now in Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions.
