After the night strike on Lviv, city services continue to work on the elimination of the consequences.
As of 15:20 on October 5, according to Lviv City Council deputy Ihor Zinkevych, significant destruction was recorded in the city in the residential sector, educational institutions and the industrial zone.
Sykhiv district
More than 30 residential buildings were damaged, about 1,500 windows were broken.
Emergency crews are working on the ground – each house is assigned to a separate group of specialists for the prompt elimination of damage.
Zaliznychny district
Damage was recorded to 4 windows in residential buildings and 1 roof.
Educational infrastructure
Two educational institutions were affected:
School No. 86 – 56 windows were broken;
Kindergarten No. 70 – 70 windows, doors and some furniture were damaged.
Half of the kindergarten premises will be temporarily closed. The Lviv Education Department is looking for a solution so that children can continue their education.
Industry
About 40,000 square meters of production space have been damaged in the Sygnivka industrial zone.
Transport
Public transport delays occurred due to a prolonged air attack in the morning.
Six buses have been damaged – windows have been broken, and repairs have already begun.
Religious buildings
The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church has been damaged.
