Donetsk region: on January 23, the Russians carried out 14 strikes on the region, there is destruction

On January 23, Russian soldiers shelled 9 settlements in the Donetsk region, as a result of which residential buildings were damaged and destroyed.

The cities of Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Chasiv Yar, the villages of Gostre, Ocheretine, Tsukuryne, the villages of Vesely Gay, Dachne, Novoselivka Persha were under Russian fire.

The Russians shelled the civilian population with S-300 air defense systems, Uragan, Grad rocket launchers, and artillery. 6 residential buildings were destroyed.

The Russian invaders fired two S-300 missiles at the village of Vesely Gay, damaging three private homes.

As a result of the artillery shelling of Chasovoy Yar, two apartment buildings were damaged.

The Russian army covered Tsukurin with “Hurricanes”, a private house was damaged.

Meanwhile, with the help of the police, 99 more people were evacuated, since the beginning of mandatory evacuation – 104,407 people, among them 13,965 – children, 5,295 – persons with disabilities.

Forced evacuation of children is introduced in some localities of Marinska and Ocheretynska communities of Donetsk region. The relevant decision was taken by the regional commission for technogenic and ecological safety and emergency situations, the head of the regional military administration Vadym Filashkin said on January 24.

According to him, there are still 72 children in the two communities.

From April 2022, the evacuation of part of the front-line communities of the Volnovaskyі, Pokrovsky, Kramatorsky and Bakhmutsky districts of the region is underway, Filashkin added.

On January 15, another 43 people were evacuated from Pokrovskyі and Bakhmutskyі districts, including four children and five people with limited mobility.

The Donetsk regional military administration reported that over the past two months, 2,000 more people have returned to the region than were evacuated.
