On January 1, Russian troops tried to attack the Kyiv region with the help of drones. Air defense of Ukraine worked on Russian targets.
This was announced by the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Ruslan Kravchenko, and the Prosecutor General’s Office.
“The alarm was declared in the region three times during the first day of the new year. The last one lasted almost 2.5 hours due to another attack by Russian UAVs,” the statement said.
According to Kravchenko, during this time, air defense was working in the Kyiv region. Thanks to the effective work of Ukrainian defenders on Russian targets, there were no hits to critical and residential infrastructure.
