On December 17, Russian military personnel attacked residential areas of settlements in the region with artillery, mortars and UAVs. The shelling damaged one high-rise building, six private houses and one car. The press service of the National Police of the region reported on the consequences of Russian attacks in the Kherson region.
In the morning, in the Dniprovsky district of Kherson, Russian troops hit a civilian car with a UAV, as a result of the explosion, the 51-year-old driver received a concussion and shrapnel wounds to the chest and right hand, and the 50-year-old passenger received a closed head injury, concussion and shrapnel wounds to the right shoulder.
In the afternoon, the Russian military covered Belozerka with artillery fire. As a result of the explosions, a 59-year-old local resident died from her injuries. A 64-year-old woman was also taken to hospital in serious condition.
Kherson, Komyshany and Beryslav were under enemy artillery fire. One apartment building and one private house were damaged.
In Antonivka, Russian military dropped explosives from a drone on a residential building.
The Russians also attacked Shyroka Balka with drones, damaging three private houses there. Russian troops fired mortars at Sadovye.
In Havrylytsia, the Russians hit a private house with an FPV drone, which was damaged.
Over the past 24 hours, the police have opened 10 proceedings under Article 438 “War Crimes” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
