Drone attacks transport in Kherson, number of casualties increased

In Kherson, the number of casualties from an attack on civilian transport has increased to five people. According to the prosecutor’s office, the attack occurred on May 3 at around 05:50. The incident occurred in the Dnipro district of the city, where a Russian FPV drone hit a civilian car carrying employees of a local enterprise.

“Another victim was taken to the hospital after a Russian drone hit a car in the Dnipro district of Kherson,” the Kherson regional military administration said in a statement.

Medics reported that a 54-year-old man received a concussion and an explosive injury, his condition is being clarified during the examination. According to the investigation, a 60-year-old man died at the scene of the attack. Five more people received injuries of varying severity.

After the first strike, the Russian military carried out a second attack, which damaged an ambulance. The medical personnel who were in the transport were not injured. Law enforcement officers have opened a war crimes investigation and are documenting the consequences of the attack, collecting evidence of destruction and eyewitness testimony on the commission of war crimes (Parts 1, 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The situation in the city remains tense, shelling of civilian infrastructure continues.
