Drone strike on Zhytomyr region: woman killed after attack on railway infrastructure

On the morning of April 23, Russian troops attacked civilian transport infrastructure facilities in Zhytomyr region with drones. This was reported by the head of the Zhytomyr regional military administration Vitaly Bunechko.

According to him, Russian troops carried out another drone strike on the civilian transport infrastructure of the region. A 53-year-old woman died as a result of the attack. A 47-year-old man was also injured and hospitalized. Rescuers, repair teams and law enforcement agencies are working at the scene.

The Russian Federation struck the railway infrastructure with “Shaheds”.

Deputy chairman of Korosten Natalia Chizhevskaya said that the Russians struck the railway infrastructure of Korosten region with drones.

As specified in the Ministry of Development of communities and territories, the drone attacked a diesel locomotive at the Korosten station. The railway workers were in shelter at the time of the attack. The woman who died was walking near the scene of the attack.

The State Emergency Service reported that as a result of the attack, a fire of dry grass broke out, which was quickly extinguished. Specialists also examined the area for explosive objects.
