On the night of January 28, the Russian Federation attacked Ukraine with drones, as a result of which Uman was affected. This was reported by the head of the Cherkasy regional military administration Igor Taburets.
During this attack, an infrastructure facility was damaged, but energy companies have already started restoring electricity supply.
Taburets noted: “This night was exciting for the Cherkasy region. The Uman air defense service was on duty. However, the Russian attacks had consequences for the Uman district. All services are doing everything possible to stabilize the situation in the utility sector as soon as possible.”
It is currently unknown which facilities were affected by the Russian attack, but a headquarters has already been deployed on site to eliminate the consequences of this emergency situation.
The chairman of Uman, Iryna Pletneva, stressed that utility services are actively engaged in restoring heat, electricity and water supply.
Pletneva wrote: “Energy companies are working to restore electricity supply and solve the problem with the supply of heat to homes.”
There were no deaths or injuries as a result of the strike of a Russian unmanned aerial vehicle “Geran-2” on one of the critical infrastructure facilities in Cherkasy region on Tuesday night, the press service of the Cherkasy regional prosecutor’s office reported.
“Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors of the Cherkasy regional prosecutor’s office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the report says.
