Drones violated Moldovan airspace twice during Russian attack on Odesa region

On September 14, unauthorized drone flights were detected in Moldovan airspace on two occasions. The first drone entered the area near the village of Palanka from the Odesa region and returned to Ukraine within a minute. The second drone crossed the border near Chobruchi and exited Moldovan territory near Kuchurhan.

According to the Moldovan Ministry of Defense, unauthorized drone flights were recorded in the country’s airspace twice over the past day.

The first drone was detected on September 14 at 10:33 AM. It entered from the direction of Mayaky in the Odesa region, traveled approximately half a kilometer over the Moldovan village of Palanka, and flew back into Ukrainian airspace within a minute.

The flight was tracked by the border services of both countries.

A second border crossing was recorded at 11:09 AM: a drone entered Moldovan territory near the village of Chobruchi, subsequently returned to Ukraine near Kuchurhan in the Odesa region, and continued moving toward Stepove.

The Moldovan Ministry of Defense emphasized that these drone incursions were most likely the result of another combined Russian air strike on Ukrainian regions, specifically targeting sites in the Odesa area.
