During the massive missile attack on Kyiv on the morning of January 2, part of a downed Russian missile hit one of the city’s hospitals, where wounded military personnel are being rehabilitated. This was reported in the Command of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Part of the hospital building was damaged, but the enemy missile fragment fortunately did not explode. However, a fragment of the projectile, which had a warhead, got stuck in the floor of the first floor.
Due to the danger, a decision was made to evacuate seriously injured patients to another medical facility, and the rest of the patients were transferred to safe places on the territory of the same hospital and provided with care.
Later, sappers got to work and removed the warhead of the rocket. After that, all other large projectile fragments were removed from the territory of the medical facility.
The roof of the building, which was damaged by a rocket, was covered with a special tent. In the evening of January 2, the hospital was already working normally. As a result of the shelling on the territory of the institution, no one was injured.
