During the shelling of the Velikopysarov community, an educational institution and private homes were damaged

Under the procedural leadership of the Okhtyrskуі district prosecutor’s office, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, on March 10, 2024, at around 19:00 hours, the Russians, using methods of warfare prohibited by international law, fired artillery from the territory of the Russian Federation at the civilian infrastructure of the Velikopysarov Territorial Community of the Okhtyrskуі District. As a result of the enemy attack, at least 9 private houses and a school building were damaged.

Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement officers, record the consequences of the shelling. In the future, the materials of the criminal proceedings will be handed over to the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in the Sumy region, the regional prosecutor’s office reported.
