During the two years of the war, Russia destroyed and damaged almost two thousand medical facilities in Ukraine

During more than two years of full-scale war, the Russians completely destroyed and damaged 1,885 medical facilities: hospitals, dispensaries, polyclinics, maternity hospitals, etc.

This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

It is noted that as of the end of September 2024, the Russian army has already damaged 1,664 medical facilities and completely destroyed another 221. Healthcare facilities in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions suffered the greatest losses. Currently, it is impossible to obtain complete information on the degree of destruction of medical facilities in the temporarily occupied territories.

The message says that so far it has been possible to fully restore 532 medical facilities and another 356 partially. Most of the facilities were restored in the Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions.

The Russians also damaged 209 emergency medical vehicles, destroyed 261 and captured 125.

On the night of September 20, around 10:40 p.m., the Russian army struck the Shevchenkiv district of Kharkiv, as a result of which the building of the Kharkiv Regional Clinical Hospital was damaged.
