During the visit of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi to Odesa, the Russians struck the port infrastructure: five people were killed

On Wednesday, March 6, during the visit of the President of Ukraine to Odesa, the occupiers attacked the city. The port infrastructure was under the sights of the Russian invaders. As a result of the Russian attack, five people died.

This was announced by the spokesman of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Pletenchuk.

“On March 6, the Russians attacked the city’s port infrastructure. Five people were killed,” Vni said.

Pletenchuk added that investigative actions are underway and all the circumstances of Russia’s next war crime are being established.

It is worth noting that at the time of the attack, Zelenskyi and the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, were in the port. Later, during his speech in Odesa, the President of Ukraine noted that there were victims and wounded as a result of the Russian shelling, but did not provide details.

According to the head of the Greek government, the epicenter of the explosion was very close to them.

“President Zelenskyi and his staff showed and explained to us the importance of the port and what is being done to restore and strengthen the Ukrainian sea route and what damage it suffered during the attacks. Already at the very end, we heard the sound of sirens and explosions that were very close to us. We didn’t have time to go to a safe place, it’s a very impressive experience,” added the Greek Prime Minister.

On the night of March 6, Russian troops once again insidiously directed “Shahed” type attack drones at populated areas and industrial facilities in the coastal zone of the Odesa region. As a result of the attack of the Russian Federation near Odesa, a recreational facility, a gas pipeline and residential buildings in the private sector were damaged.
