Russians attack residential building in Nikopol with artillery. On the afternoon of December 22, Russian troops attacked Nikopol and its suburbs with artillery and FPV drones. A 77-year-old husband and wife were injured as a result of the shelling, the Dnipropetrovsk Region Police reports.
The couple’s private home was destroyed as a result of two shells. Fortunately, the impact hit the wall of the house, which actually saved people’s lives.
It is noted that during the explosion, the woman was partially crushed by the debris of the building – she suffered a leg injury. The husband was in another room at the time and suffered acubarotrauma.
Law enforcement officers helped the couple get to a service car and took the injured to the hospital.
Due to significant damage, the house is currently uninhabitable. However, they have one son and grandson left in the city, as the second son is currently defending Ukraine.
Law enforcement officers urge residents of the region not to be in open areas during shelling and to strictly follow safety rules.
