Empty streets and gutted storefronts. New photos of Severodonetsk have been published

Occupied Severodonetsk in the Luhansk region looks empty even during the day. There are few pedestrians and cars on the streets, most shops are closed.

Almost a year and a half after the end of hostilities, only a few apartments were restored in the city. The repair of the premises where there were shops has not yet been discussed. The large windows were not even covered with panels.

There are few residents in the city. “In general, life in Severodonetsk is only in the market,” one of the local residents commented on the situation in the city.

In the settlements of the Severodonetsk district, which were captured by Russian troops, there were even fewer local residents. Since the beginning of the winter of 2023, communities have been emptied by two thirds.
