Explosion after explosion, houses on fire. The Russian Federation is shelling the border of Ukraine from its territory

The occupiers continue to shell the border areas of Sumy and Chernihiv regions. Shelling is being conducted from Russian settlements bordering Ukraine.

“The enemy inflicted fire damage from small arms, UAVs, mortars and barrel artillery,” the report says.

According to border guards, the Krasnopil, Myropil, Yunakiv, Esman and Seredino-Bud communities of the Sumy region, and the Semeniv and Horodnyan communities of the Chernihiv region came under enemy fire. “The Russians opened fire from the villages of Lomakovka, Chornozemnii Horodok, Lokot, Kurilovka, Zernove, Staroselje, Bezimeno, Hornal, and Plekhovo,” the report says.

In particular, twice a day, the rioters covered the territory of the Myropol community with 120-mm mortars and 152-mm barrel artillery, in total there were a dozen explosions from mine explosions and almost two dozen – from shells. The fire came from the Russian settlements of Gornal and Plekhovo.

As reported, the Ukrainian military repelled the attacks of the occupiers near settlements in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia regions.

At the same time, Russian troops opened fire eight times in the Nikopol district from the evening to the morning of November 6. A child is injured. The occupiers also shelled Zaporizhzhia. One person died.

The occupiers shelled the border of two regions of Ukraine

This was announced by the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Dmytro Zhivytskyi.

“The Seredino-Budsk community is restless today. Around 2:00 p.m., the Russians opened fire with mortars. Nine mines exploded near the houses of civilians. There is considerable destruction of human dwellings: walls and roofs were demolished. There were direct hits of mines in the houses,” he noted. 

According to preliminary information, four houses and farm buildings were damaged.

Zhivytskyi added that the shelling caused the fire.

“The fire destroyed the roof and about a ton of hay in one of the households. Rescuers of the State Emergency Service are working on the spot,” he said.

Last day, the occupiers again shelled the border territories of the region.

A total of 67 shots were scored. As a result of shelling, 4 private houses were damaged, and 2 commercial buildings were also destroyed. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

According to these facts, the police opened criminal proceedings under Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Violation of laws and customs of war”.

In Sumy Oblast, rescuers twice extinguished fires caused by enemy shelling

On November 5, the Rescue Service “101” twice received information about fires in the territories of Seredinobudsk urban territorial community and Myropil regional territorial community, which were caused by enemy shelling.

The rescuers who arrived at the call established that the burning is taking place in the private homes of civilians. Employees of the State Emergency Service localized the fire, preventing its further spread to nearby buildings and structures. The fires were extinguished promptly.
