Explosions thundered in Sumy: there are “arrivals”, a fire broke out

On the night of September 11, the Russian army attacked Sumy with drones. Civilian infrastructure was hit. A fire broke out in the city, there is destruction.

Acting Chairman Artem Kobzar reported at around 2 a.m. that two explosions were heard in Sumy. Both were drone strikes on one of the city’s educational institutions.

“As of now, there is no information about the dead or injured. All relevant services are working on the scene,” he wrote.

According to the head of the Sumy regional military administration, Oleg Grigorov, the enemy attack was carried out in the Zarechny district of the city of Sumy.

“The main blow did not fall on the residential sector. No casualties were reported. There is a fire at the site of the strike. There is destruction and damage. The consequences of the attack are being investigated,” he wrote.

In Sumy, the regional military administration confirmed that the buildings of the educational institution and the institution’s transport were damaged as a result of the drone attack.

“Also, previously, windows were damaged in three multi-storey residential buildings. All necessary services were involved in the elimination of the consequences,” the report says.
