Russian special and other structures that operate in the field of “cybersports” have increased attention from the leadership of the Putin regime, one of the high-ranking influential curators of destructive information operations in the Russian Federation is one of the so-called “Putin’s successors”, Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation Serhiy Kiriyenko.
In addition to the official organization of the FCS of the Russian Federation, the mechanisms for the implementation of Russian destructive information activities, including in the field of so-called “cybersport”, there are numerous Russian official and supposedly “independent” organizations and structures, which, however, are tightly coordinated and controlled by the administration of the President of the Russian Federation and special services of the Russian Federation. Among the Russian structures of this kind connected with the administration of the President of the Russian Federation, the so-called “Internet Development Institute” (IRI), which carries out projects in the field of so-called of Russian “computer sports”.
The intensive spread of Russian narratives by propagandists, special structures and the so-called by “cyber sportsmen” of the Russian Federation regarding the alleged “Russophobia” of Ukrainian and Western representatives of cyber sports, including as an alleged “justification” of the Putin regime’s aggression, as well as an attempt to hinder the activities of the “Ukrainian eSports Federation” and representatives of the Ukrainian sector of developing cybernetic games.
Thus, against Ukraine and its allies, including under the guise of the so-called Russian “cybersports” and with the assistance of the Kremlin leadership, active operations are carried out in cyberspace, for which significant financial and organizational resources are allocated and plans are developed for their further active use in the long term with the aim of causing maximum damage to Ukraine and its allies.
