Fifty people were injured and 11 were killed as a result of the Russian strike on Dobropilly in the Donetsk region, President Volodymyr Zelenskyі said in an evening address on March 8.
“This was one of the most brutal strikes, a combined strike. The strike was specially calculated to cause maximum damage. Rockets, also “Shahed” on the central part of the city,” the president noted.
Zelenskyі reported that nine residential buildings, a shopping center, and shops were hit by the Russian attack. 11 people died, including an employee of the State Emergency Service.
“The second strike occurred when rescuers started working. 50 people were injured. Everyone was provided with the necessary assistance,” the president informed.
Zelenskyі noted that among the wounded were seven children, the youngest of whom was a ten-year-old girl.
On the evening of March 7, the Russian army struck the center of Dobropillya with two ballistic missiles, and after the rescue services arrived at the scene, it launched another strike, “deliberately targeting rescuers.” Earlier, it was known about 11 dead and 47 wounded.
The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – strike UAVs, missiles, KABs, MLRS.
The Russian leadership denies that the Russian army, during a full-scale war, is carrying out targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of Ukrainian cities and villages, killing civilians and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.
