In Ternopil, a meeting of the commission on technogenic and environmental safety and emergency situations regarding the fire at the industrial facility, which was caused by the attack of the Russian Federation, took place. The State Production and Consumer Service was instructed to measure the state of air and drinking water, as well as the regional environmental inspection to find out the extent of the damage caused to the environment. Viktor Ustenko, deputy chief of the Ternopil regional military administration, said this during a briefing.
It was defined by the classification code as a state-level emergency event, as it is related to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. Emergency services have finished extinguishing the fire that broke out at the scene of the emergency. The State Production and Consumer Service was instructed to conduct measurements corresponding to those carried out by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention regarding air and drinking water. The ecological inspection has been instructed to find out the extent of damage to the environment, Ustenko said.
