Five civilians were killed in shelling by Russian troops in Donetsk region on August 16.
This was reported by the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin.
According to the regional military administration, two people were killed in Raiske, two more in Svyatohirivka, and one person in Kostyantynivka. In addition to the dead, four residents of the region were injured to varying degrees.
Vadym Filashkin also published general statistics on civilian casualties in Donetsk region since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. According to him, the number of civilians killed reached 3,417, and 7,837 were injured.
The regional authorities noted that the figures do not include data on Mariupol and Volnovakha, which are under the control of Russian forces.
