Five killed, seven injured: Russians launched over 20 attacks on two districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region

On September 16, Russian forces launched more than 20 attacks—using drones and artillery—against two districts in the Dnipropetrovsk region, the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration reported.

In the Nikopol district, Russian forces struck the city of Nikopol as well as the Marhanets, Pokrov, and Chervonohryhorivka communities. An apartment building, a private house, a commuter bus, and several cars were damaged. Five people were killed, and seven others were injured. A 51-year-old woman was hospitalized in serious condition, while six men will receive outpatient treatment. The Prosecutor General’s Office clarified that Russian forces struck the bus with an FPV drone; the commuter minibus was hit while traveling along the highway.

“Criminal proceedings regarding the commission of a war crime (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) have been initiated under the procedural supervision of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office,” the statement read.

In the Kryvyi Rih district, Russian forces targeted the Zelenodolsk community. A private home was damaged.
