On the night of June 15, five rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine were killed while fighting a fire in Kharkiv. At least five more were injured.
This was reported by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko.
He also expressed condolences to the families of the fallen unarmed heroes.
“Unfortunately, we continue to lose those who save lives,” Klymenko wrote.
He emphasized that the massive Russian attack continues even under the main blow — Kyiv: “There is significant destruction of civilian infrastructure. The necessary services are involved in the elimination of the consequences.”
