For more than 3 months, the Russian security forces have been detaining three civilians from the occupied Gornostayvka

In November 2023, mass arrests of men took place in the occupied village of Gornostaivka, Kherson region. At least 7 civilians were detained – two youths were released after a few days, one died after interrogation, and at least three disappeared without a trace.

This is reported by the Russian publication Astra.

According to the Russian publication, the men were detained on November 20 after an attack by Ukrainian drones on the building of the occupying Ministry of Internal Affairs in Gornostaivka on November 13, on suspicion of passing on information about the location of the building of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Twin brothers Ivan and Anton Shtepa and 23-year-old Denys Shum are among the detainees who have gone missing. All three were detained by police officers of the local occupation police department in military uniform and unknown persons in civilian clothes in front of their relatives without explanation, Astra sources reported.

For more than three months, nothing has been known about the fate of the kidnapped men. Their relatives and lawyers made official requests to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Investigative Committee.

Currently, there is no official information about the detention, its reasons and the whereabouts of the men, writes the Russian publication.

The name of the murdered man among those arrested was Ruslan Rusnak. The Center for Journalistic Investigations previously reported that on November 20, 2023, the Russian military illegally deprived him of his freedom, and within a week, his relatives learned that he had been killed.

In the village of Holgyna, Kakhovsky District, Russian soldiers killed a woman who was defending her property so that it would not be stolen by the Russians.

And in the village of Mali Kopan in the Kherson Region, the Russian military illegally took Valeriy and Anastasia Saksagansky from their home and killed them. It happened on September 15, 2023. The couple has a two-year-old daughter.
