Forest fires are being extinguished in Kyiv Region after nighttime rocket fire

Foresters of the Metropolitan Forestry Office continue to put out fires in the Kyiv region that arose as a result of rocket fire on the night of September 30.

This was reported by the state enterprise “Forests of Ukraine”.

“The Russians once again carried out a massive attack on Ukrainian regions and the capital, using missiles and attack drones. The foresters of the Metropolitan Forestry Office continue to fight the consequences of the rocket attack that happened on the night of September 30,” the message reads.

As of 7 a.m., 7 cases of fires on a total area of ​​1.25 ha have been contained in the Vyshchedubechan branch of the State Enterprise “Forests of Ukraine”. At 10 a.m., a new fire was contained on an area of ​​1.1 hectares.

23 workers and 11 units of special equipment, including fire modules and tractors with plows, are involved in extinguishing fires. In parallel with the extinguishing of active centers, foresters conduct constant patrolling of the territory. New ignition points appear, which may arise from smoldering debris or sparks carried by the wind.

Currently, the situation is under the control of foresters. However, work on the complete elimination of the consequences of the missile attack continues.
