“This is an industrial zone, private sector. The gas pipeline was damaged. About 500 houses of the private sector in Kharkiv are without gas supply,” said the head of the regional military administration Oleg Synegubov.

According to the data of the joint-stock company “Kharkivmiskgaz”, a thousand subscribers were left without fuel due to damage to the underground medium-pressure gas pipeline in the Slobid district.

“The Russians left about 1,000 consumers temporarily without gas supply. The emergency dispatch service quickly left at night and eliminated the gas leak by closing the valves. Currently, Kharkivmiskgaz specialists are carrying out repair and restoration work on the damaged section of the gas pipeline,” the message says.

In addition, as a result of the shelling, the water pipe, which is located next to the gas pipe, was damaged, said Tamara Redko, spokeswoman for “Kharkivvodokanal”.
