Russian troops launched a missile strike on the center of Sumy on the afternoon of March 24. The attack damaged high-rise buildings and a school, and there are injured people.
This was reported by the head of the Sumy regional military administration, Volodymyr Artyukh.
“The Russians launched a missile strike on the city center. Several high-rise buildings and a school were damaged. The children were in a protective structure, they are being evacuated now, everyone is alive,” Artyukh said.
According to him, rescue services are working to eliminate the consequences and put out fires. House-to-house visits are also being conducted to provide assistance to the injured people.
As reported by the acting mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar, the Russians attacked the residential sector and infrastructure facilities of the city, in particular children’s hospitals.
