Homes and property destroyed: consequences of Russian strikes on Zaporizhzhia region on February 17

During February 17, Russian military launched 398 strikes from aviation, artillery, multiple launch rocket systems and drones on Zaporizhzhia region.

This was reported by the National Police of Zaporizhzhia region.

Zaporizhzhia region, as well as eight cities and villages of Vasylivka and Polohivka districts, were under Russian fire.

In front-line settlements and the regional center, private and multi-story houses were damaged as a result of enemy strikes: windows were broken, roofs were damaged. Some houses were severely damaged and are uninhabitable. Russian strikes also destroyed property.

An 80-year-old man died as a result of a Russian artillery strike on the front-line town of Orekhov. His body was found under the rubble of a house.

In total, law enforcement officers recorded 30 reports of destruction during Monday. For all facts of armed aggression by the Russian Federation, investigators opened proceedings under Part 1 and Part 2 of Article 438 “War Crimes” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
