Houses burned due to Russian shelling in Donetsk region: rescuers extinguished fires

On March 23, Russian troops struck a private residential sector in the village of Maidan, Cherkasy community of Donetsk region. One person died and four others were injured as a result of the shelling. Residential buildings burned as a result of the shelling. This was reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Donetsk region.

In Maidan, Russian shelling damaged 35 private houses and 3 cars. At the site of the Russian strike, a fire broke out in two residential buildings, dry grass and reeds. Due to the danger to personnel, the “Fire Serpent” robotic complex was involved in extinguishing the fire.

The work was carried out under the constant threat of Russian drones, which caused rescuers to repeatedly retreat to shelter,” the report says. Emergency workers extinguished a fire in residential buildings on an area of ​​150 sq. m, as well as dry grass and reeds on a total area of ​​2.5 hectares.
