From September 20 to November 9, since the beginning of intensive shelling of Zaporizhzhia, more than 1,000 houses were destroyed or damaged.
This was announced by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
It is noted that the Russian Federation attacks the city with dozens of guided aerial bombs every week, striking from a distance of about 70-80 km, mainly from positions over Tokmak and Molochansk.
Fedorov added that after the latest shelling, about 130 houses were damaged or completely destroyed. Utility workers are installing new windows and repairing roofs so that residents can return home as soon as possible.
Victims are offered temporary housing in shelters and dormitories.
The head of the region once again reminded of the need for timely help from partners, in particular, modern air defense systems of American and European production.
“Civilians remain the main victims of Russian attacks, and only strengthening the defense of the sky can fundamentally change the situation,” Fedorov emphasized.
