In Berdyansk, Russians en masse force entrepreneurs to change advertising signs to Russian

In the temporarily occupied city of Berdyansk, Russians en masse force local entrepreneurs to change their signs to Russian at their own expense. This was reported by the head of the Berdyansk city military administration, Victoria Galitsyna.

“The Russians have already changed the names of streets, road signs, and tourist signs, and now they have started to change the names of shops, cafes, and private enterprises. From now on, “all address bookends, advertising surfaces, signs and other designations belong to the sphere of mandatory use of the Russian language,” Galitsyna said.

It is noted that the owners of commercial facilities must replace advertising signs with new ones at their own expense, because now their official language must be Russian

“The Russians threaten to prosecute for violating the relevant norm of the Russian law. However, it has not been determined what kind of punishment is prescribed,” Viktoria Galitsyna added.
