In Dnipro, Russian terrorists damaged the hospital named after Mechnikov.
At the time of the attack, there were more than 1,700 patients and employees of the hospital. 420 doors and windows were destroyed by the blast wave and fragments of the Russian missile. Three intensive care units and six operating rooms were mutilated.
“Due to the attack, three intensive care units in the hospital, where the most difficult patients were, were damaged. This is a polytrauma, where not a single window, not a single bedside table, not a single device remained unscathed. Currently, 42 patients are waiting for surgery. And we cannot involve these operating rooms, which, unfortunately, are damaged today. And there is already a queue,” says the general director of the institution.
As a result of the attack on the hospital, a patient with an oncological disease received a cut wound on the head. One of the medics was cut in the back by a glass.
“Almost all patients are “difficult”, who came from five regions of Ukraine. These are people who went for both surgical interventions and treatment. Unfortunately, a cancer patient was injured during this explosion. He has a cut wound on his head. The doctors immediately helped him. The doctor who was in the operating room was also injured, his whole back was cut by shards of glass. Fortunately, all other patients who were covered with the ceiling and broken glass were not seriously injured. We transferred everyone to a safe place, they are now receiving treatment in this hospital,” the doctor said.
